Objectives
This online intervention program aims to help you manage problematic video game use. It was created through a collaboration between the University of Calgary, the Swiss Research Institute for Public Health and Addiction (ISGF) at the University of Zurich, and the University of Marburg.
The online intervention was developed with input from individuals with lived experience with problem gaming. This intervention is being scientifically evaluated as part of the "Ctrl-Alt-Play" study. The online intervention and the associated study have been approved by both the University of Calgary’s and University of Marburg’s ethics committees.
The training is flexible, can be accessed from anywhere, and fits easily into your daily routine.
The benefits:
- Help you cope with problematic situations (cravings, high-risk situations).
- Anonymous (no personal details are used for data analysis; we only require your email address and mobile number to contact you for the follow-up survey).
- Program data is stored on servers in Switzerland; your access is password-protected and SSL-encrypted (256-bit).
- The training is completely free of charge.
- Can be completed from anywhere (at home or wherever you choose).
If interested, please continue to read about the study in greater detail. You will be asked for your consent, email address, and to create an account before you may continue with this intervention.
